Terms of Service

Effective: May 27, 2026 ยท Version: 1.1 (2026-06-04)

By using the TaliGo mobile application ("App") you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the Service.

1. Service Provider

Name: Marko Ignac (individual)
Country: Hungary
Email: mignac2@gmail.com

2. Description of Service

TaliGo is a community-based mobile application that allows users to create, share, and manage hike events with participants. The App is free of charge and requires sign-up. The service is provided "as is" and is under active development โ€” features may change and bugs may occur.

3. Sign-up and Account

4. User Conduct

The following is prohibited:

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or deletion of your account without prior notice.

5. User Content

You are responsible for the content you upload or post (hike descriptions, cover images, shared Komoot/AllTrails links).

We do not claim ownership of your content, but you grant us a non-exclusive right to store, display, and make it available to invited participants as needed to operate the Service.

Do not upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, or any law.

Content policy (mandatory acceptance at sign-up): By registering you expressly agree to upload only appropriate, truthful and lawful text and images โ€” content that is not offensive, obscene, violent, hateful, sexual, misleading, and does not violate the rights or dignity of others. The Service Provider reserves the right to remove any inappropriate content at its sole discretion without prior notice, and to suspend or permanently delete any account that violates these rules.

6. Intellectual Property

The App's name, logo, code, and design are the intellectual property of the Service Provider. Use of the App grants no right to copy, modify, or commercially exploit these.

7. Limitation of Liability

TaliGo is a community platform, not a tour operator. Hikes listed on the platform are organized by users themselves, and the Service Provider assumes no responsibility for them.

Before starting a hike: research the route, prepare proper gear, and follow all safety recommendations. Hiking is at your own risk.

Location sharing (optional feature):

The App provides an option to voluntarily share your GPS position with other participants of an event. Location sharing is activated only with your explicit consent (off by default), shows a persistent notification while active, may continue with the screen off (foreground service), and can be stopped at any time via the toggle in the event map view.

The Service Provider is not liable for the accuracy of location data, signal outages, or any damage resulting from a participant's location being unavailable or inaccurate. Location sharing is a supplementary coordination aid โ€” it does not replace safety preparations and independent navigation.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account any time: Profile โ†’ Settings โ†’ "Delete account". Deletion is immediate and irreversible. The Service Provider also reserves the right to terminate accounts in case of Terms violation.

9. Changes to These Terms

The Service Provider reserves the right to unilaterally modify these Terms. For material changes we will display a notice in the App. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Hungarian law. Any disputes shall first be resolved amicably between the parties. Failing that, the competent Hungarian court shall have jurisdiction.

12. Trademarks

"Komoot", its logo, and related marks are trademarks of Komoot GmbH. "AllTrails" and related marks are trademarks of AllTrails LLC. "Firebase", "Google", and "Google Play" are trademarks of Google LLC. "Apple" and "App Store" are trademarks of Apple Inc. "Cloudinary" is a trademark of Cloudinary Ltd.

TaliGo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Komoot GmbH, AllTrails LLC, Google LLC, Apple Inc., or Cloudinary Ltd. These brand names are used descriptively (nominative fair use) solely to explain how the Service operates: we read route metadata (title, distance, difficulty) from public Komoot and AllTrails tour URLs, and rely on Firebase and Cloudinary for backend and image storage infrastructure.

It is the user's responsibility to ensure that any third-party URLs they paste (Komoot, AllTrails, etc.) comply with that service's terms of use (e.g. public shareable link, not a private tour).
